Some moms and I got together to do a Harry Potter Camp.
The whole adventure began with a owl delivery to our door
inviting us to Hogwarts.
We took the Hogwarts Express(train in a local park) to get to the Forbidden Forest.
On the train the cart came with all the treats(pictured below)
Bertie Botts
Chocolate Frogs
We paid with our silver sickles and bronze knots that the owl had delivered.
In the forest each kid found a wand and practiced magic tricks(dollar tree).
Next we made origami owls and raced them to get words and decode a magic message.
The kids wrote each other messages to be delivered by owls at the end of the day.
Then we went on to the maze to find the sorcerer's stone(giant everlasting gobstoppers).
Then we had transfiguration class.
We used our wands to turn stones into chocolate rocks and gummy worms into gummy butterflies.
Onto making butter beer(homemade root beer dry ice and all).
I can't even tell you how special this was to watch all the kids just loving every activity.
We had a great day and a lot more fun to come.
Harry Potter camp is the best.
