Have you ever tried taking pictures of a 6 year old in jammies? It gets so weird. Polka dots and stripes fly every which way. Faces get all strange and legs look adorable. Girls and color are so fun.

It's my party and I will cry.
I see all these photos of kids smiling on the first day of school and I am thinking that is not how it always happens right? This is actually the end of Maya's first day of first grade. So that makes it her first day of all day. Tired anyone? Her teacher told me that at 1pm Maya walked up to her and told her " I'm getting tired. I'm ready to go home."
You have got to admire the spirit. Her teacher told her they just had a little while longer.

Adult times
So my Grandma and Grandpa passed away in one week this summer. Felt like being hit by a large truck two times. I learned what it felt like to cry so hard you are sort of screaming and you can't actually feel your legs under you so you fall to your knees. Have you had that happen. It actually feels good to get it out.
I am trying to figure out if that is what is making me feel so adult?
Could it be money?always causing trouble.
Could it be moving into a big house with a fenced back yard and 2 fireplace and my own craft room? Anybody have any white picket fencing for the front.
My kid is getting baptised in a few weeks. Isn't he still 3.
My husband is so handsome to me I can barely stand it. Do I take time to smell the roses?
I have two kids and they are both going to be in school all day this year. Maybe I will have time to get on my bike and ride like the wind. I use to do that.
My sweet little nephew has cancer. Are you kidding me?
I want to go to Hawaii.
My brothers family is threatened and I cannot make his choices for him. I can pray and I have.
Our neighbors smoke. My son asks if they know it gives you cancer and it is addictive why did they start. Because we can make our choices.
People are sometimes so mean and it hurts.
People put a lot of faith in me to decorate and I do a good job. I have a gift. Thanks for that.
