This is a korean style bbq that is very popular. You cook up this meat and wrap it in leaves and put some of the many side dishes in and Enjoy!

The kids faces in these pictures are really funny. I had just told them that the things they served us in the bottom right hand bowl were silkworms.

That's right some kind of silworm or larvae. I guess people eat them.

I would have done the same thing as the kids. I'm not to adventurous(sp?) about food. the kids got a kick out of their faces.
Okay, so did you eat them??? That is some crazy stuff!
I agree... GROSS! I was wondering in general how your kids have done w/ the different foods and language. Care to share?
Food is a major challenge for us all. Costco is our saving grace right now. We can find most everything we want there (besides fruits, vegis, eggs, milk and snacks which we get at our local Mart). There are some foods around here that we don't mind, but they are few and far between. There's a subway near by, and a Kentucky Fried chicken. Never in my wildest dream did I think I'd be praying for a burger and some fries...and so I did. Thank you God for McDonald's. It's pathetic I know...but we were all smiles yesterday when we went to McDonald's for lunch. Oh yea, so good we had to go again today. A side note: Found out our water heater slash boiler is being cleaned out, so no hot water for a week! It's boiling water in the kitchen time for washing dishes and taking sponge baths. Not to mention, we're suppose to throw our pooh paper away, but that doesn't always happen when it's hot and sticky! Sorry. What a week....Jared
Did you try them. I love Ender's face in the 2nd pic. looks yummy except for the worms of course!
My whole mission we had to through our toilet paper in the trash. Hated it! When I got home I would love to watch the dirty toilet paper go down the drain of the toilet. The American luxuries.
